Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) uses light waves to create detailed cross-sectional images of the retina, optic nerve, and anterior segment — similar to how an ultrasound uses sound waves, but with far greater resolution. Our practice is equipped with both the Topcon Maestro2 and the Zeiss Cirrus 500, giving our doctors the ability to detect conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic macular edema at the earliest possible stage. The Maestro2 combines OCT with a true-color fundus camera in a single automated capture, while the Cirrus 500 offers industry-leading optic nerve head and ganglion cell analysis.
